Abstract:Composite material has been widely used in modern aircraft cabin interior, and the use of a large number of composite material will increase the fire risk of aircraft. So it is of great significance to discuss and explore the flammability airworthiness verification of composite materials. This paper sorts out the flammability airworthiness standards related clauses form Chinese Civil Aviation Regulation CCAR-25, including 25.603, 25.605 and 25.853(a). The application of composite materials in domestic civil aviation industry is introduced, including two main structural forms: composite honeycomb core plate and composite laminate, two main raw materials: phenolic resin glass fiber fabric prepreg and aramid paper honeycomb core, and two main processing technologies: medium temperature mold press molding process and medium temperature hot pressing tank molding process.Based on the understanding of PS-ANM-25.853-01-R2, and combined with interior airworthiness experience and flammability test data, this paper discusses a method of composite material flammability airworthiness verification which may suit the current interior development period and situation.
