Abstract:The development of prognostics and health management (PHM) systems in the fields of civil aircraft design and maintenance needs the support of PHM standards. With the rapid development and deep application of PHM technology, the PHM standards also become an urgent need to improve operational flexibility and efficiency of PHM systems as an aid to cost effectiveness, and to improve the scientific assessment and management of technical risk. This paper comprehensively introduces and analyzes the existing foreign PHM related standard systems. This paper comprehensively analyzes the existing PHM related standard systems represented by SAE, MIMOSA, ARINC, FAA, RTCA and IEEE, and the gap between the domestic civil aircraft PHM standards and the foreign ones. Based on the methodology of systems engineering, the paper proposes the preliminary plan of China’s civil aircraft PHM standards with reference to SAE HM-1 standard system, as well as the research directions and the suggestions of standards drafting, tracking and feedback. Finally, this poper puts forward the development ideas of PHM standard system in China, as well as the compilation and the implementation suggestions of the standard system.
