Abstract:LRTO(lapse-rate take off) is one of the most important subjects of engine flight test on high elevation airport. It requires applicant to fly below MSA(minimum safety altitude) when conduct LRTO flight test on high elevation airport. This paper mainly focuses on the flight track design of LRTO on high elevation airport. The first part introduced the definition of MSA and the applicable provision of part CCAR91. The second part described the basic requirements of the track design, including the definition of protection zone and accuracy of flight track. The third part focused on all details of track design and check methods, including the acquisition of terrain data in flight test area, the experience summary of track drawing, the performance verification of flight track, the verification of simulator and the gradual approach of real aircraft in flight test. At last, taking Daocheng Yading airport as an example,the application of the flight track of LRTO at DCY airport was introduced, including obstacle clearance and meteorological requirements.
