Abstract:During civil aircraft type certification, the applicant needs to carry out the compliance activities to prove that the type design is complied with the type certification basis in order to obtain the type certificate by the airworthiness authorities. This process is called certification planning(CP). CP is a key tool in type certification, and it provides the detail definition of the products and the compliance requirements for successfully completing specific certification project. This paper analyzes the requirements of the airworthiness regulations & industry standard, and the similarities and differences between them. Combined with the airworthiness certification experience of domestic civil aircraft models, this paper proposes the principles of the CP planning, the content requirements and CP related checking requirements.
