This article presents the requirements, principles and contents of overhead stowage bin for civil aircraft. With the designs of special aircraft in market and author’s experience, the design problems and solutions were discussed. Based on the CAAR’s requirements, the contents and ways of validation are presented. The article has main reference value to the design and validation of overhead stowage bin for civil aircraft.
