As an emergency control strategy, PCA (Propulsion Controlled Aircraft) provides certain control ability using throttle modulation, while the conventional flight control system fails. This thesis makes a feasibility analysis of PCA from the view of dynamics and establishes the overall architecture of PCA. Based on PID , the design of longitudinal and lateral controller of PCA is completed. The results show it is feasible to realize the control of landing trajectory. The designed controller is also used in automatic landing system and meets the performance requirements while the aircraft can accurately track the landing trajectory.
