In order to achieve economic and rational fatigue test design, and to ensure the comparability and reproducibility of the test results, a criterion which is based on the t-distribution theory is provided to determine minimum number of test specimens. This criterion can also give percentage limits by one-sided tolerance factor k under a specific confidence level,reliability γand error requirements.
