The contents of quality check of the finite element model(FEM)for civil aircraft are introduced in this paper. The items and methods used to verify the mesh quality of the FEM are proposed. The recommended check values of finite element geometries are illustrated. The methods used to do quality check of the FEM, such as stiffness check, static equilibrium check, free-free vibration check, free thermal expansion check, ground check, and etc, are introduced.
