The characteristics and challenges of human factors airworthiness certification for civil aircraft are analyzed, and the research and practices recently carried out by international airworthiness authorities, human factors academia, and the aviation industry are discussed in connection with these challenges. Combined with the experience gained on research and development in the domestic civil aircraft, this paper provides recommendations for the current human factors certification for civil aircraft and a framework for future work in the human factors certification.
